Hoka One One Clifton Review

These are my first pair of Hoka shoes.  The shoe that I bought is the first rendition of the Clifton.  It is a very pretty coral color.
Of course the color matches absolutely nothing I own, but I pretend that it is orange.

This shoe is unbelievably light.  Is it filled with helium?  I don't know what space age stuff  this shoe is made of, but it is light as a feather.  Also, the fit is perfect for me.  I have never gotten a blister.

Honestly, I don't love the feel of them.  You can't actually feel anything under your feet.  You can step on an acorn and feel nothing at all.

Seriously, even in coral and yellow, these shoes look ridiculous.  My kids call them the clown shoes.  I refer to them as the boats.

The absolute biggest problem with these shoes is the lack of durability.  This is what the sole look like at 283 miles.

I think that a shoe that retails for $130 should last a lot longer.

With all the cons, you would think I don't like them.  I don't particularly, but I will buy another pair soon, because they work for me.  I can run more and farther with less knee pain than ever before.  If I'm going on an 8+ mile run, this is the shoe that I'm going to wear.
