My sister recommended this shoe to me, after I was no longer able to wear my Newtons. What a shame that was. The newest generation Newton make my feet go numb. There is absolutely nothing I could do to fix the problem. I loosened the strings, bought special laces, strung the laces in weird configurations. Newtons are a bust. I was forced to look for a new shoe.
I am really glad my sis suggested this shoe. It is ALMOST perfect. It is fairly flexible with a
4mm heel-to-toe drop. It comes with an extra insole to insure a good fit. It is a little soft, but otherwise great.
The durability is fantastic. This is what the soles look like at 450 miles (13 cents/mile). They still have a little life in the. Certainly, I can get 500 miles--maybe more. Because I bought the 3s just when the 4's came out, I got a great deal ($60).
This is my go to shoe for any run up to 6 or 7 miles.
